Dave Reddin BSc, MSc, MBE

Dave has always been passionate about fitness. As a youngster he was always running, and into every kind of sport. After completing undergraduate and masters degrees in sports science at Loughborough University, Dave spent 5 years working for the sports council working as a fitness coach with many different sports, men’s and women’s, kids and adults.

After working with Leicester Tigers from 1994-1996, Dave became fitness coach to the England Rugby team, a position he held until 2006.working with Sir Clive Woodward, Dave contributed to the most successful period in England rugby history, culminating in success at the 2003 Rugby World Cup. In this time, defined and implemented one of the most renowned and successful sports science programmes in world sport, which supported the success of players such as Will Greenwood, Martin Johnson, Jonny Wilkinson, Neil Back and Lawrence Dallaglio.

He was honoured with an MBE in 2004 and awarded a place in the UK Sport Coaching Hall of Fame. As well as developing the National Fitness Test, Dave consults widely in elite sports, working with, amongst others, the British Olympic Association , professional football clubs and professional golfers.

Dave developed the National Fitness Test as a way to help everyone, no matter what their background or fitness level, to get fitter and healthier for life.

Dr Marco Cardinale Phd

Marco has worked in sport in many different roles over the years. He holds undergraduate, masters and Phd’s in sports science, has published widely in scientific journals and helped to develop the initial concepts of research around vibration platforms.

Marco is also a coach, having played and coached handball to an elite level. Marco currently works as the head of science and research for the British Olympic Association and is involved in advising our best athletes and coaches on how to gain an edge for their performances.

Marco acts as a technical consultant to the National Fitness Test, making sure that the tests that we use do what they are supposed to do, so that you can trust them.
